Award in Company Law Fundamentals – The Maltese Legal System 2nd Intake

Following the success of the first intake in February 2019, 21 Academy in collaboration with Camilleri Preziosi Advocates is once again presenting this course which is spread over 10 evening lectures. This course introduces delegates to the important elements of company law, concentrating on those parts of the regime which are predominantly relevant to in-house lawyers, lawyers working in private practice, directors, company secretaries, CEO’s and business owners, accountants and chief financial officers. It is also of relevance to anyone who has an interest in law and company matters. It is also ideal for lawyers specialising in other areas who want to find out about the topic, and for those who have some experience in the field and are looking for a refresher course.

This course will help you benefit from a conceptual and practical knowledge base in company law. The objective of this course is to walk you through the fundamentals of company law using plain language and giving practical examples. It covers the lifetime of the company, its legal obligations and its day to day business.

In-house lawyers, lawyers working in private practice, directors, company secretaries, CEO’s and business owners, accountants and chief financial officers, law students.

Mode Of Assessment

There will be two assignments and students will have a choice – they will be able to choose 2 assignments out of 4.

Entry Requirements (one of the following):

3 years working experience
Business Qualification
Law Qualification
Law student at the University of Malta.

MQRIC Accredited

The National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) deems this Award to be at Level 7 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.

25 hours CPE Accredidation

25 hours of structured CPE qualifying for the attainment of Core Competencies in terms of the Accountancy Board’s CPE Scheme and Accreditation Rules
What is the cost?

625 plus VAT for 25  contact hours over 10 evening lectures at 21 Business Centre, Naxxar. €438 will be refunded through the Get Qualified Scheme.
